So, Let’s jump right into this! How did you get into competitive bodybuilding? What brought out the BEAST in you?

Patrick

– I was inspired to get into bodybuilding in 2014 by my friend Nicolas Angers (my fiancee’s cousin), who later became my first coach. He previously had competed in several events and within a few months of training together, he saw my potential as a bodybuilder. After a year and a half of smart, progressive programming and bulking on an IIFYM diet, followed by 18 weeks of contest prep, I was able to place 2nd in my first Natural Regional Show in Lightweights. From there, I proceeded to get 4th place in Welterweight at a Natural Provincial Show only 2 weeks later. I’ve now joined Team Ibertrophy to step up my game and am training to compete nationally across Canada this coming May.

We see you! GAINS since 2014! Man, I remember when you first got started, you have put on so much SIZE dude! I really see the young guys in the game looking up to you who think its impossible to put on quality size. So, What advice would you give our readers who are just starting out and really want to hit the ground running!? What is the best advice you can give on Diet/training/supplementation that some one told you or that you learned for yourself throughout your journey to become the bodybuilder you are today?

Patrick

– My advice for any serious lifters whether you’re getting fit to compete, or just for a healthy lifestyle is to hire a personal trainer for a few sessions or do your homework! It is very easy to hurt yourself at the gym when you have no clue what you are doing! The muscle and strength pyramid books are a great way to learn the basics of building muscle and strength for any beginner or intermediate lifter. Personally, for supplementation I do take quite a few like: protein powder, pre-workout, BCAA, Creatine, and Glutamine but I’d say they aren’t essential unless you can afford them. As for training and diet, my advice is follow whatever program bests suits you and your schedule. I enjoy IFYYM diet a lot…I’m a big fan of the flexible dieting 😉 I, myself benefit from the Push, Pull, Legs Workout Split…but there’s many more options out there

Love it, everyone’s different, what works for one person may not work for you. So get out there and figure it out and never stop trying till you perfect your own craft! So, what do you do for fun outside of the GYM Walls.. What else is there to life besides GAINS!?

Patrick

– Well, when I’m not at the temple of iron or at work…you can usually find me at home. If it’s summer time, chances are I’m playing with my car or cleaning it haha! During the colder months or when I’m inside, I like to educate myself towards understanding the human body and how to manipulate it for bodybuilding needs. Posing is something my fiancée gets a little annoyed about since I take off my shirt whenever I can see my reflection at home. Also, we are huge movie buffs and love to watch all types of creepy and action packed things!

GAINSCo

– Ahhh Love the Movies! Thats funny about the future wifey getting annoyed with daily posing practice. Lol. #gainsbruh..Time for some Fun, what are your 3 favorite cheat meal Items/meals?

Patrick-

Start it off with a Big Mac meal with a side of Nuggets from McDonalds, that be my all time fave!! Donuts cut it a close second haha! And definitely Domino’s pepperoni pizza…yum!!!

Patrick

– 6 Donuts easy bro!! haha! Pizza though I don’t know, I killed a medium pepp pizza before, but never an XL, damn!!

GAINSCo

– Only A Shmedium Bro!!? Lol Ill easily out downa XL Hans SOLO. I’m 6’3, 215..solid fat tho ;)…pysch, I’m always dad buff level.. You know tons of GAINS, lean enough but not really..anywayzzzz…So, Dream Ride? I know you’re into cars from you IG page! If you can have any Car/truck, what would it be!?

Patrick

– Oh damn, that’s a good question! But without a doubt it would have to be a RHD 1999 Skyline GTR R34 in blue… hands down!!!

GAINSCo-

I knew I’d get a solid/specific answer from you right down to the color! LOL, I was excited to get your answer right down to the color. I love it. So, If I looked into your fridge right now, what would I find? Give us the TRUTH! Haha!

Patrick – Right now? Lets see what I got for ya….I got peach juice, ice tea, milk, eggs, red bull, bruschetta mix, coffemate, pack of bacon, cliff protein bars, raspberries, red and green peppers. Not much!

GAINSCo-

I love this question! It’s so awesome to hear the weird odds and ends in athletes Fridges! Peach juice and Redbulls!! Lol.. I love it. Must be that young lifestyle of pre-gaming with Redbulls lol. So, who do you look up to most in the bodybuilding world? I see your swolemate in almost every picture!? Anyone else a stand out in your life?

Patrick

– My fiancée aka Swolemate is definitely a motivation to me. She helps me push when I need help and keeps me grounded when I’m on prep 😉 In the bodybuilding world I’d have to say that I look up to Matt Ogus as a goal physique. He’s been training for a very long time, he has a great work ethic, he competed, has educational videos on youtube and continues to educate himself. All admirable qualities.

Dope!! Ours is you! LAST Question!!
What is your Number One Fitness Goal for you to achieve in your Fitness Career Now that you have Division Supply Co in your corner?
